FREE Workshops for Veterans
Nearly 100 homeless veterans attended our Second Annual Downtown Los Angeles Stand Down at The Vortex in November where they received free and confidential medical exams, eligibility screening, shelter/housing referrals, substance abuse treatment, mental health consultations and haircuts from 20 providers. Veterans were also fed two meals and given clothing and hygiene products. The Stand Down was presented by The Veterans Project, Dramastage-Qumran, Robey Theatre Company and The Vortex.
The next Stand Down in Southern California will be held April 4 to 6 in South El Monte. Click here for more info.
